Danidu wins gold at the slim nasco awards 2019

Danidu Galappaththi, the Assistant Team Manager of Fairfirst Insurance, topped at this year’s National Sales Congress Awards (NASCO) by taking home the Gold for Territory Manager – General Insurance Category.

Coming out as the only winner in the General Insurance category, Fairfirst showcased one of their brightest performers, who is both an imminent leader and a key driver of business for Fairfirst. Danidu began his career back in 2015. Now with over 4 years of experience in the industry and a team of 10, Danidu delivers outstanding results for the company whilst spearheading various growth initiatives and related partnerships. Outside of work Danidu is also a Badminton, Karate, and Cricket enthusiast whilst also enjoying E-sports occasionally.

An enthusiastic Danidu spoke about his win “It was a great privilege and honour to have represented Fairfirst at SLIM NASCO Awards 2019. The experience is truly priceless along with new friendships and insight which will without doubt do good for me in my career. I did not walk this journey alone, a special thanks to my superiors who saw the potential in me and always guided and mentored me in addition to everyone else who supported me along the way. This award isn’t just a personal milestone for me but a win for all of us at Fairfirst.”

Organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, the theme of this year’s SLIM NASCO Awards 2019, ‘Excel. Engage. Ensure – Beyond all Limits’ reflects the call to action for sales professionals of tomorrow to stretch beyond the limits and achieve the unthinkable in a competitive, challenging marketplace. The theme was also based on encouraging the sales force to continuously focus on sustainable growth and progress of self, organization and the wider community in which he or she serves. In this regard, the premier event presents Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the best Front Liners, Sales Executives and Territory Managers in sectors such as FMCG (Food, Beverage, Cosmetics and Household) Financial Products and Services, Insurance, Automotive, Corporate Selling, Telecommunication, Travel and Leisure, Fashion and Clothing, Consumer Durables, Alcohol and Tobacco, Industrial, Healthcare, IT, Media, and Modern Retail.
