Important Update: Motor Insurance Premium Payment Requirements and Digital Motor Insurance Card
We would like to thank you for being a valued customer of Fairfirst Insurance.
As a consequence of the recent regulatory changes introduced by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), please note that the following updates will apply to Motor Insurance policies issued on or after 1 May 2026.
A maximum credit period of 30 days from the inception of cover will apply. Policies remaining unpaid beyond this period will be cancelled in accordance with the Premium Payment Warranty Clause. The IRCSL Direction on the 30-day credit period is attached for your reference.
We kindly request that premiums be settled within the applicable timelines to avoid any interruption or cancellation of your insurance cover.
Digital Motor Insurance Card
In addition, as per IRCSL Direction No. 6 of 2026, effective 1 May 2026, Motor Insurance Cards will be issued only in digital format. Physical cards will no longer be provided.
